Refinery HA Compliance

Client
IOR Energy
Location
Eromanga, Queensland
Industry
IOR Energy, as part of a major upgrade to their Eromanga refinery, engaged BRS to manage the Hazardous Area compliance and auditing of the site. The initial task was to provide an updated Hazardous Area classification of the site which was completed by the BRS design team.
As the project moved into execution BRS provided advocacy for the site owner and the installer in completing the Hazardous Area dossier requirements, as well as the inspection and testing works.
The project execution was tight with a dedicated shutdown window allotted to complete the works. Throughout the installation, BRS was able to provide detailed inspection and support for the electrical installer to aid in completing the verification works required for the dossier.
BRS also coordinated the Hazardous Area auditing of the completed works using a third party provider to maintain the required independence from the classification works.
The staged upgrade of the site is ongoing with the first stage complete and operational on schedule after the allotted shutdown works.
