BRS Pty Ltd were engaged by Takraf to complete various studies for the Radial Stacker CC7M replacement project, part of the BMA Goonyella Riverside Mine CHPP1.

The new stacker consisted of a 415V 220kW Conveyor, 150kW Jet Slinger Drive and auxiliaries fed from a new MCC. The new MCC was integrated into the existing site LV network.

BRS successfully carried out the following studies using SKM PTW software:

· Short circuit study

· Load flow

· Motor Starting

· Arc Flash

· Protection Coordination

BRS also carried out all LV cable calculations, and a lightning protection risk assessment for the new installation.
