BRS has an ongoing engagement with BMA Goonyella Riverside Mine to maintain the statutory power system model and associated drawings.

As custodian for the Power Tools For Windows (PTW) model BRS regularly conducts project feasibility studies for Load Flow, Harmonic and Motor Starting Scenarios, using preliminary project data to update scenarios in the model and provide reports and recommendations to the project designer.

As part of the project close out process, the BRS Engineering team adds new protection equipment, cabling and loads to the sites’ overall PTW model. Subsequently, BRS reports on Load Flow, Harmonic Distortion, Fault Level, Protection and Arc Flash studies for the affected areas and electrical equipment.

With a model in excess of 2000 buses, BRS applies a high degree of diligence to maintain the accuracy of the system modelled throughout different scenario changes.
