Initially, the goal was to complete ‘As-Built’ drawings for the Riverside Field Electrical Maintenance Department. The drawing management system has evolved to a system for continually maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality electrical drawings.
BRS now provides administrative and technical assistance to the onsite document controller and electrical staff to maintain the electrical drawing management system for Goonyella Riverside Mine Field Maintenance Department.
The system is operating with the same core structure as the Gregory CHPP system. This familiarity across BMA sites lends itself to the dynamic nature of the industry, with personnel moving between sites having an inherent understanding of the system through training across different sites.
It is currently being utilised not only to capture changes to electrical installations on site but also as a key tool in improving the accuracy of all existing drawing records, with the goal being to maintain a highly accurate and complete set of as-built drawings.
