To come into line with the “Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 2001”, Part 4, Subdivision 2 –Electrical Control systems, Clause 26 (1), Peak downs CHPP has elected to upgrade the control voltage to 110VAC with EL protection in the MCC’s and 24VDC in the field I/O panels.
At the same time the current I/O drops (GE Field Drops) are to be phased out and replaced by the Versamax I/O drops.
The project required rewiring, termination and commissioning of some 10,000 IO points throughout the ROM, Plant and TLO.
