BRS Electrical were engaged by BMA (BHP) to complete detailed inspections for LV switchboards at Saraji mine site.  

BRS checked the overall design, highlighted non-compliances with BMA standards and verified the as-built drawings. 

BRS inspections also covered the following:  

• Appropriate lockable doors and lockable main switches. 

• Correct use of Earth Leakage protection 

• Correct protection settings 

• Correct IP ratings, shroudings and segregation 

• Correct terminations 

• Water leaks, rusting, and other environmental issues. 

All findings were successfully reported to BMA for further action.
