This project formed part of the mines relocation of its industrial area as part of the required major upgrade and expansion of their workshop facilities.

The project incorporated a remote fuel and lube storage facility and a workshop/service bay. Our solution incorporated:

• Two PLC units synchronised via an Ethernet comms link
• An out door MCC including variable speed drives and operator interface.
• HMI Display and touchscreen.
• Main Incomer board and 500kva substation.
• General Light and Power distribution.

BRS Responsibilities

• Complete electrical design
• Pump and feed stock controls.
• Tie into existing site communications network, routing back into SCADA and data logging facilities.
• PLC programming for fuel and lube farm.
• Switchboard design.
• Coordinate commissioning process with M&E Contractors.
