BRS was engaged as part of the civil consultant Engeny team, to deliver the GS1 tailings dam wall raise for Goonyella Riverside Mine. The tailings dam expansion require relocation of electrical infrastructure to suit the new dam heights.

BRS Responsibilities

• Electrical and Instrument Design
• Onsite Installation Support and Commissioning
• Production of "as built' drawings for all areas of site

As part of the project, BMA required the existing pump infrastructure to be upgraded and automated so that it was able to be controlled for the site SCADA, as well as upgrade of the level instrumentation for the pump control and monitoring of Dam heights. BRS completed the Electrical and control system design for the project.   BRS also supported BMA’s execution team in completing the construction and commissioning for the project using their new completion software package, Continuum Edge.
